What is MBSR?

  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight-week mindfulness-based program created by Jon Kabat-Zinn 40+ years ago. Initially created for chronically ill patients responding poorly to traditional treatments, MBSR is now used for a wide variety of reasons by hundreds of thousands worldwide.

Dr. Jillian MacDonald

MD, CCFP

Since 2014, Dr. MacDonald has dedicated her practice to multi-disciplinary chronic pain management. She is trained in DBT, CBT, and EMDR and most recently completed the comprehensive Medical Psychotherapy Association Canada’s Psychotherapy Training Program. She completed her MBSR training through the Centre for Mindfulness in Toronto.
